WELCOME TO THE WIKIMEDIA CEE HUB

Prior to the first grant proposal, the initial group of volunteers held two meetings, where they discussed the content of the draft proposal and thereafter included the feedback into the proposal:

  1. CEE Talks/CEE meetup February 2022 on 28 February 2022
  2. CEE Talks/CEE meetup March 2022 on 5 March 2022

Updates were held in September 2022:

  1. CEE Talks/Update CEE Hub/Outlook CEE Meeting 2022 on 26 September 2022

The Wikimedia CEE Meeting 2022 functioned as a decision-making event for the first year planning of the CEE Hub's activities:

  1. Introduction to CEE Hub on Friday, October 14
  2. CEE Hub Workshop - Programme Focus on Saturday, October 15
  3. Closing Session of the CEE Hub on Sunday, October 16

After the on-boarding of two CEE Hub staff members (which was a part of the CEE Hub Year 1 project implementation), Steering Committee members and two staff members met for the first time in-person in Zagreb. This meeting lasted for two days and it's major topic was the implementation of all proposed CEE Hub project activities.

After the General Assembly of Wikimedia Europe in Prague, which was held on 9-10 June 2023, there was a hybrid meeting attended by CEE Hub SC and staff members in order to discuss project implementation and progress, possible budget reallocation and additional activities (hiring freelancers and supporting the CEE Youth Group).

Wikimedia CEE Meeting has a significant importance for the CEE Hub, because it is used as the decision-making event, as explained above. During the Wikimedia CEE Meeting 2023, the CEE Hub held separate in-person meetings one day before and one day after the meeting, where Steering Committee members and both employees had the opportunity to discuss various things, such as preparation for the upcoming CEE Hub year 2 grant proposal, scheduled sessions during the CEE Meeting, feedback of the CEEM participants regarding the work of the CEE Hub, and many others.
