Type of submission (Please choose one)[edit]

  • Presentation (one-to-many)

Summary[edit]

It is not easy to get new editors for our Wikipedias. Single Subject Writing Weeks have been organized successfully (for example the Writing Week Brussels) and had the suprising result that many new editors could be activated. There were no costs involved.

Expected outcomes[edit]

I would like to give participants ideas how to create writing weeks, writing challenges and writing competitions and how to reach many interested participants by banner notices, talk page announcements and press releases.

Duration (without Q&A)[edit]

15 minutes as part of the Wikimedia CEE Spring presentation.
