You can find more information here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiConvention_francophone/2016/Programme/D%C3%A9fis_linguistiques_des_pays_francophones_sur_Wikip%C3%A9dia,_exemple_du_Maroc

People involved
(e.g. How many people can benefit from the micro grant you request):

One person: Myself

Please explain what influence your activity will have on Wikimedia Projects
(e.g. quantitative: number of new pictures uploaded to commons, no of new articles created / qualitative: strengthen the community of german-speaking wikipedia authors etc,): As a founding member of Wikimedia Morocco, my participation in such events is crucial. First to raise awareness to our presence, and network with our colleagues in the french-speaking countries and learn from their experience. I have already participated in Arabic speaking wikipedia meeting, and they have been very useful for our local community. French is an important language in Morocco, and one of the most used in the administration, university, and Moroccan wikipedia. So strengthening ties with the french speaking community to support our work is a must, and such a conference is a golden opportunity to do so.

My participation in the Wikiconvention Francophone 2016 was a very successful and fruitful experience in many extends. Along with my collegue Reda (from Wikimedia Morocco), we held a presentation about the linguistic situation in Morocco, the challenges it creates, and their consequences on the Moroccan Wikipedia spectrum. You can find the presentation in this link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:D%C3%A9fis_linguistiques_des_pays_francophones_sur_Wikip%C3%A9dia,_exemple_du_Maroc.pdf
We were delighted by the interest shown by the audience to the presentation, and this was the reason why we have also planned to have a discussion/debate after the presentation. The discussion was very fruitful, since we learned a lot from each other, and we had the honor to answer many pertinent questions from well-aware wikipedians.
Besides our own presentation, the conference was a unique opportunity to network with our fellow wikipedians from the French-speaking world. I have participated in different sessions, and tried to share my knowledge and experience of Wikipedia with as many people as I could. Of course, and as always, the amount of information that I received was much more than what I could give, which is an amazing fact that I always experience when meeting Wikipedians. My insight to the different sessions that I have visited was heterogeneous and depended a lot from a session to another. In some sessions, I was a complete beginner and discovered the subject for the first time, as it was the case with the gender issue in Wikipedia or the challenges of the Basque Language (that has a lot in common with our Moroccan challenges). In others sessions, I had more insight and considered myself as having a good knowledge, such as the technical sides of Wikipedia, or subjects related to editing. In both cases, my presence was very useful as I have learned many things and discussed many hanging issues that I was wondering about.
My participation was moreover an occasion to put a face on the "usernames" that I usually see, and a shifting from virtual to real contact. From one side, it keeps the relation stronger between us as wikipedians, and from another it makes us learn a lot from each other through the different experiences of each of us. My responsibility is now to transmit all this knowledge and experience to a local level, in the Moroccan Wikimedia, in order to spread the free word and achieve the goals of the conference.
Unfortunately I did not have the time to visit Paris, since I traveled back home already Sunday afternoon, but I am lucky enough to have visited this amazing city so many times before. Finally, I would like to thank both Wikimedia France for the organization of this successful event, and Wikimedia Switzerland for their support, which had allowed me to participate to the Wikiconvention 2016 in Paris.
