報告事項[edit]

  1. 協會成立典禮事宜
    • Stewart~惡龍報告因成立典禮只預訂33人的食物份量及訂單總額低於HK$2500，所以他無法預定中大范克廉樓之場地
    • 他亦指出浸大聯福樓方面同樣不建議只預訂約33人的食物份量

討論事項[edit]

  1. 討論協會成立慶祝活動
    • 惡龍建議委員會需決定轉地點或繼續籌錢
    • 但雨雨指出，無法確定地點，會令公關程序難以推展，活動應轉為非公開聚會，附以會員招募事宜
    • 部分委員認為，公開的成立典禮和公關程序仍可依時有效進行
    • Flamelai認為委員會可押後決定此事
    • 主席在討論後作出指示
      • 委員會現階段應繼續盡力辦好成立典禮
      • 他認為城大的演講廳和多用途活動室，為典禮合適的場所，著Wrightbus查詢此事
      • 基於中大和浸大兩個場地因價位不合，因此可放棄接洽
  2. 會員證事宜
    • 會議討論了會員證是否加上電腦條碼的問題
    • 會議決定未來會員證無需設條碼，也不會為條碼預留空間

The minutes of the 20th meeting of the Committee were confirmed.

Reports[edit]

The Establishment Ceremony

Reported by Stewart

  • He claimed that he had failed to book the canteen in Benjamin Franklin Center, CUHK
  • He was rejected because the canteen won't accept an order for only 33 people, or less than HK$ 2500.
  • About the Renfrew Seafood Restaurant, HKBU, the management there doesn't suggest a booking for around 30s.

  • Stewart suggested that the committee shall consider changing the venue, or furthering the fund-raising.
  • Yuyu raised that the difficulty in confirming the venue, will be a huge obstacle in PR process for the event.
  • He suggested the event shall be private event, which shall only expects Wikimedians to come, as a Summer Gathering & an activities Recruitment of Members.
  • Some members insisted that a Public ceremony is still possible, & also the implementation of PR process is still possible in a hectic schedule.
  • Flamelai suggested that there's not need to make the decision right now.
  • The President decided at the end of the disscussion
    • The committee shall achieve the best in the preparation for the event
    • Both venues in CUHK & HKBU shall be ruled out
    • He believed that Lecture Halls & multi-function rooms in CityU are suitable places for the event
    • He also commissioned Wrightbus to ask the authority about the venues in CityU

Membership Card

  • The Bar code issue was raised by the members
  • The committee decided neither have it nor prepare spaces for it on the membership cards in the future.

  • Next meeting will be scheduled on 9th June, 2007
  • There being no other business, the Meeting was ended at 22:47 HKT.
