Wikimedia Niger Delta is a hub devoted Wikimedians in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria with a mission is to enhance awareness, create content, and foster community participation in the documentation and representation of the Niger Delta’s cultural and linguistic diversity. We are committed to supporting the Wikimedia movement by organizing events, workshops, edit-a-thons, and collaborative projects aimed at increasing the availability of reliable, freely accessible content related to our focus area. We have been existent since 2019 and have carried out notable Wikimedia projects in the Niger Delta region through partnerships, we have over 100 active members

Languages
[edit]Wikimedia Niger Delta Community works mainly with English and Ijaw-speaking communities and has workers who can communicate in both languages, as well as other Nigerian languages. Outreach and instructional materials are provided in English with works ongoing to produce materials in Ijaw language.
