Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria/Meetup April 2016

The monthly Meetup for April 2016 of the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria was held on 22 April 2016 at the Goethe-Institut in Lagos at Catholic Mission St within the Brazilian quarters, right in the center of the Lagos business district.

Programme[edit]

Jack Rabah from the Wikimedia Foundation looked into issues surrounding the application of Wikipedia Zero among the Mobile Telecommunication Opterators (MTO) in Nigeria and how they can partner with the community in the forthcoming New Readers Research Project (NRRP), where Nigeria was selected as one of the sampling nations.
The meetup also created an environment to review the level of ongoing projects and how we can better the position of our activities.
