Background

Project Engagement Grant for wikimedians of Nepal was funded on 2013-14. Grant signatory were Ganesh Paudel, Hempal Shrestha and Saroj Dhakal. Sum of $10,000.00 (Ten thousand US Dollars only which was equivalent to NPR 968,709.00 on the date when the amount was transferred to our Bank Account in Nepal)

Grant basically targeted following activities

• Getting Affiliation from WMF as Chapter
• Nepali Wikipedia 11th Anniversary (June 3, 2013)
• Outreach programs
• Wiki Women Initiative & Mentoring program
• Wikipedia Education Program (Piloting in 2 colleges)
• Wiki Loves Monument (Photo contest on monument sites of Nepal)
• Enabling Internet facility For Outreach, Editathon and education programs
• Collaboration Meetings
• Media for expansion projects (Video)
• Printed Media
• LCD Mobile Projector for presentation

Agreements

1. It is agreed that the amount NPR 299,836.00 related to PEG grant amount remain as of 14/10/2018 (bank statement is attached) in the bank account opened in the name of project team members as PEG grant from Wikimedia Foundation shall be transferred to new bank account (bank deposit slip is attached) of Wikimedians of Nepal on 14/10/2018.
2. It is agreed that the amount NPR 82,960.15 which is collected from the community members for different purposes and unpaid cheques issue for different activities is also transferred to new bank account (bank deposit slip is attached) of Wikimedians of Nepal on 14/10/2018.
3. It is agreed to handover the accessories and equipment purchased from the fund received from the Wikimedia Foundation on 14/10/2018 to Mr. Nabin Sapkota on behalf of Wikimedians of Nepal. (details attached)
4. It is agreed that the responsibility to substantiate the expenditure/submission of proof/auditing (if necessary) of expenditure incurred from the PEG grant amount or the grant balance shall remain with the project team and the wikimedians of Nepal shall not hold any responsibility on expenditure and submission of any report regarding grant utilization, grant balance and project status.
5. It is agreed that unpaid cheques related to different activities of PEG grant shall be paid by Wikimedians of Nepal from the amount mentioned in point no.2 upon submission of valid claim by the concerned person. (details attached)
6. It is agreed that the PEG grant project team shall complete and submit PEG grant report by 15/11/2018.
