Tôi cố gắng

• giữ những mục đích từ thiện,
• làm tương lai tài chính và hợp pháp bảo đảm cho dự án,
• tôn trọng và giữ bốn cái nguyên tắc quan trọng là thái độ trung lập, lịch sự, tự do, và rộng rãi,
• ủng hộ sự tham gia vào Quỹ Hỗ Trợ dùng ủy ban và hội địa phương,
• phát triển thêm ý định về quyên góp và tránh dựa vào một nguồn thu nhập,
• kiếm công ty cho tiền và cộng tác bên ngoài đang khi giữ độc lập của chúng ta,
• tập trung, đừng bắt đầu dự án mới sớm quá, và phân tích những thay đổi phần mềm trước khi thay nó,
• phát triển và ủng hộ hai cái chương trình xem lại và phát tất cả nội dung, nhất là phải phát nội dung ở các nước chưa phát triển đầy đủ.

Tương lai của các dự án nằm với những cộng đồng, thì tôi mong chỉ dẫn những cộng đồng để phát triển các dự án nhỏ, phê chuẩn nội dung, phát hành và xuất bản, quảng cáo, cải tiến những quan hệ bên ngoài, cải tiến cộng tác giữa các dự án liên quan, giải quyết những vấn đề bản quyền, cải tiến GFDL, khởi Wikinews ra khỏi beta, sử dụng thêm dạng âm thanh, bảo đảm là các dự án sẽ sử dụng lại được ở khắp mọi nơi, và bảo đảm là thỏa mãn những yêu cầu phần mềm.

Nói tóm lại... :

Đang khi phục vụ trên Ban năm nay, tôi rất vui vẻ làm với các người lo về Ban. Tôi mong tiếp tục làm đó, tại vì một năm vẫn ngắn quá chưa có thể tác động nhiều.
Những tiêu chuẩn của tôi không thay đổi nhiều, và phần lớn của lời viết của tôi năm ngoái vẫn đúng. Tôi ủng hộ phát triển tổ chức này chậm mà chắc, có Ban giữ nó vững vàng và thái độ trung lập, đang khi nhiều người sửa đổi có thể tham gia và ủng hộ để nó phát triển.

Vấn đề muốn giải quyết:

• tiếp những chuyện lo của cộng đồng đến Ban
• báo cộng đồng cho biết, thí dụ dùng tập chí Quarto
• điều hành Quỹ Hỗ Trợ theo quá trình dân chủ và giao nhiệm vụ (cho những thành viên, lực lượng đặc nhiệm, hội đồng wiki)
• ủng hộ cho những hội địa phương thành lập,
• giới thiệu Quỹ Hỗ Trợ và các dự án (dùng website của Quỹ Hỗ Trợ, khoảng cáo, và phỏng vấn)
• động gây quỹ, nhất là từ những đoàn thể từ thiện, sẽ tập trung vào Phi Châu và giáo dục cho tự nhỏ và đàn bà
• Tiếp tục phát triển cơ cấu hợp pháp (juriwiki-l, bọn luật sư, quyết định về bí mật và biểu trưng)
• Cùng chung phần theo mục đích của chúng ta (tránh ủng hộ tích cực về chính trị). Giữ độc lập của dự án (nhiều tổ chức cùng phe)
• giữ các nguyền tắc tự do, miễn phí, tránh khoảng cáo, mở rộng, lịch sự, và cộng tác

My previous candidate statement from 2004 is largely still actual.

• Now the board needs to evolve more into a body that actively asks for community input.
• Since the board is now on firm ground, its transparency should increase - where not prevented by legal matters or other things whose premature disclosure would be directly harmful.
• The wikimedia foundation should concentrate its focus on its core project the wikipedia encyclopaedia, that is our unique project and its continued success will help the other projects too. If the wikipedia projects have problems (with growth for example), the other projects doing well will not help much.
• The formal institutions of wikipedia (chapters, councils, official positions) must never overwhelm the work done to produce our real work.
• Slow and natural developement is the best way to avoid overextension, creating institutions only after they are totally necessary, and will envigorate productivity rather than distracting from it.

Candidate statement:

The Board is lucky to have two active User Representatives, who encouraged transparency and consideration of community views, even as the Foundation's development accelerated. Please reelect Angela and Anthere as Trustees.

I am running for one reason : to empower editors and readers to improve their projects¹ in every way².

The Wikimedia projects are the greatest collaborations of our generation. I promote them wherever I go³. Yet they are growing faster than their community structures⁴. Many community members feel powerless to pursue bold changes or new initiatives ⁵; shy editors are allowed to disappear. And there are millions⁶ of talented readers who would help, if they knew how⁷.

Wikimedia would benefit from an environment where all are encouraged to work on new ideas⁹ — even crazy or grandiose ones — without a special title¹⁰. Hundreds of key projects need attention (a few examples); each one suited to the talents and interests of some current Wikipedia fans¹¹.

Let us identify our community of supporters and their skills¹², and teach them to help guide the projects¹³, before the projects are defeated by their own success.

Rules for candidates

English text below is the official one on which all four organizers agreed. If any translated text differs from the English original, the latter will be applied.

In this space, candidates for election to the Wikimedia Board of Trustees can present themselves. Two trustees are to be elected for an appointment of two-years duration.

If you wish to be a candidate, you must have more than 400 edits on one of the Wikimedia projects, the first of which must have been more than 90 days prior to 00:00, 30 May 2005 (UTC).

Also note that it is not possible to hold a Board position anonymously, so please stand only if you are willing to make your real identity known. Candidates will also be required to identify themselves fully to either User:Danny, User:Aphaia, User:BjarteSorensen or User:Datrio, unless this has been done in the previous Board election. We will contact you with further details. Those candidates whose identity has been confirmed by one of the Election Officials will have the word confirmed next to their name.

Please copy the template and fill in the following information. So as not to favor one candidate over another, please list your nomination alphabetically by username, according to the Unicode Collation Algorithm.

You can submit your statement in any language(s), however we recommend that you include one in English. Your statement should not exceed 1,000 characters in length in any language. Volunteer Wikimedia translators will translate your statement to other languages and we will do our best to ensure that all statements are available in as many languages as possible.

And finally if you are so nice as to list your name and all the language(s) of your submitting presentation on #Quick view of candidates section of English page, it will be kind of you for both organizers and voters.
