Cool Cat

I'd like to request adminship for wikis with 1+ articles and 0+ articles. See List of Wikipedias for the list of wikis.

I do not know the languages but am willing to delete pages created for vandalism only which are generaly in english. It is fairly easy to manage a hand-full of pages (less than ten per wiki). I am user:Cool Cat on all of the wikis in question

Since no one is up to the task, I volunteer. Once any of the wikis cross the 10 article barrier and have an admin replacement, my adminship can be taken away.

I object in the strongest possible terms, and will be happy to cite a long list of disruptive behavior, and quite a few failed RfAs, that demonstrate that Cool Cat is neither appropriate nor trusted to have adminiship on any project, much less on dozens of defenseless projects where he can harass and control the userbase at his pleasure. No, no, no, a thousand times no. Cool Cat has been under ArbCom sanctions on Wikipedia for over a year now (he was recently banned from a wide swath of articles by Tony Sidaway, his mentor/keeper) and has been ejected from the CVU discussion channels for misconduct. He has repeatedly failed RfA on enwiki. This person should not be trusted with any sort of authority or privilege anywhere within the Wikimedia sphere. Kelly Martin 11:35, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
I reluctantly agree with Kelly on this. I should state first of all that, in my opinion, only an exceptional individual should be entrusted with the responsibility of admin access on a multitude of wikis of which he is ignorant of language and culture. Without commenting on Cool Cat's recent sanctions, his interest in vandal-hunting, and the presence or absence of others who can do a better job (I haven't checked recently, this may be an unnecessary request), is what seems most relevant for the projects in question; especially if this is understood as a temporary measure. I agree with Computerjoe. I know Cool Cat well and I know he would not abuse any tools. I personally see no reason why Cool Cat shouldn't be given the responsibility here. As Computerjoe said, it's hard to make a bad decision on one of these wikis, and even if he did make one error in good faith, he's not going to bring the whole of the wiki down with him. While I don't know the vandalism stats on those wikis, I bet the eyeballs at them are close to zero. Also I don't think it'd be much problem cleaning them up, perhaps a "daily report" by bot to some users (since I doubt people will sit watching RC idly all day) would come handy. On the other hand, if noone is watching those wikis, it doesn't really hurt if a page stays vandalized for a few hours while a current admin does the review. Ok, there we are. I'm not convinced of the "correctness" of the title, as neither of the words appear in my (albeit limited ~10,000 words) wordlist. The transliteration of the Farsi page gives "дрхваоста‌ҳое мдер ш", which brings up "модар" (modar) and "мудерн" (mudern) from my wordlist, but I can't make anything of the first word or the isolated sh. - FrancisTyers 13:27, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

As a sysop from Malay Wikipedia, I would like to ask you to remove the sysop privileges from my user account after I've started been inactive since 24th April 2006. Secondly, I've no longer interested in being a sysop in Malay Wikipedia as my biggest contribution as a sysop is only to do cleanup the main page which can be more accessible to other and do several cleanup for wikimedia project on Malay Wikipedia, although I too do some cleanup on several articles and I too add some articles on Malay Wikipedia.
