From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Arhavi WikiCamp 2024 a joint camp organized by the Wikimedia UG Türkiye and Wikimedia UG Georgia for editors of Wikimedia projects. This camp will bring together students, volunteers, and editors of Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikidata, Wikisource, and Commons) to collaborate, learn, and share knowledge on the Wikimedia movement and projects.

The main aim of WikiCamp is to provide more knowledge to participants so they can acquire skills for working on Wikimedia projects. This will provide participants with the opportunity in the future to independently develop Wikimedia projects and improve the content in the projects. Also, the camp's goal is to bring the communities of the two countries closer together for closer cooperation and the exchange of experience in projects.

The WikiCamp will take place from May 16 to 19 in the town of Arhavi, Turkey. The town is located near the Georgian border, 50 kilometers from the Georgian city of Batumi.

All participation costs for editors from Türkiye and Georgia will be covered by Wikimedia UG Georgia and Türkiye, respectively.
