  • Needs light copy-editing: "is taking place across India", "and win prizes". I support the display of a banner on en.Wikipedia and sister projects, within a South-Asian geographic limit, for this multi-lingual project. Hi @Jayanta (CIS-A2K):, With the requested languages you say "(see Discussion)". Could you supply a link please? Ciell (talk) 10:34, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi,@Ciell: We are planning to conduct one another contest like this Indic Wikisource. I have announed at English Wikipedia here for your reference.Thanks. Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 18:10, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Great, thank you. I'm specifically interested in why you would like to target all Wikimedia projects, and why you would like to also target ip-adresses. It does not look like a user-0 project to me: what is your intention with targetting ip's? Ciell (talk) 18:23, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Specially I want to target all wikimedia project (Wikipedia,Wikisource,Wikitionary,Wikiquote,Wikivoyger etc) of all Indic languages (including English) in India, Bangladesh, Srilanka for all IP user or login user.Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 18:32, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Also I have announced most of all Indic language project here.Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 18:37, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for the links provided.
I'd prefer to only target anonymous accounts, when there are certain goals set, for instance in a (WMF or otherwise supported) grant, of in a fundraiser. We only very rarely should target our ip's, not automatically including editathons (where you do need a certain level of experience before you can join) and extra-especially when a banner on the one project would lead them to a whole new project, which 99% of the time they have never visited before. Could you explain to why you want to target tens of thousands of ip's, and the level of support and guidance these new users would get from you? You might also want to read our banner guidelines if you have not yet read them. Ciell (talk) 13:45, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
@Jayanta (CIS-A2K): In case you missed my question: why do you want to target other ('all') projects, and where did you involve people from other projects in this? I only see messages to the Indic Wikisource. A different project would for instance be Wikipedia, Wikidata, Commons, or Wikibooks. Ciell (talk) 19:35, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
@Ciell:, sorry for the late response. Our contest is rescheduled to November (01 November 2020 → 15 November 2020).Most of the cases, our 12 Indic languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu) community creat their site notice. But We want to promote/announce from other projects in the respective language.Jayanta (CIS-A2K) (talk) 15:19, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi @Jayanta (CIS-A2K):, no problem with the rescheduling. Do you have a link for me to a relevant discussion about this Wikisource banner, on for instance some Indic Wikipedia please? Or at least a message you posted there to inform them about your plans for a banner? Ciell (talk) 15:23, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
