Edit tools

There should be some edit tools on the wiki to help editors. May be import edittools from Meta. --Meno25 15:51, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Good ideas! Please Go for it. Poke me when you are ready (there is no file on meta at this moment). --Aphaia 15:57, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
There is a file on Meta. :-) MediaWiki:Edittools. Cbrown1023 talk 21:43, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Ah! (I gave a look to the link, so the empty one on wmf wiki). Imported. --Aphaia 04:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank you, britty. --Meno25 15:49, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Add some gadgets

I would like to request the addition of these gadgets specially BiDiEditing to the Foundation wiki. The BiDiEditing gadget makes it possible for any user to control the direction of the text area which makes a huge difference for rtl users like myself (Arabic) and Huji (Persian). I have installed this gadget here and it is installed also on Commons and Wikimania wiki. Thanks. --Meno25 19:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Import of MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition is enough? Is there any other what we need to activate these functions? --Aphaia 20:35, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm and each gadgets, supposedly? --Aphaia 20:39, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Ooops, edit conflict. My original reply was :
Just create these pages:
==LanguageSupport==
*BiDiEditing|BiDiEditing.js
*ShortLink|ShortLink.js
That should work. :-) Cbrown1023 talk 20:41, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Cbrown1023 ... ok, now? --Aphaia 20:44, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
yep, looks great! :-) Cbrown1023 talk 20:48, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank you, Aphaia. You're the best. --Meno25 21:59, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

purpose of this page

how is this page different from the general site feedback page? -- sj · translate · +

See the top of the page: "Here may come deletion request, username changing request, sometimes bot flag requests ... Account requests submitted here will be simply removed." Cbrown1023 talk 04:07, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Donations

I want to donate per the recent banners, but when using PayPal, it is insisting that I put a 'ship to' address in- I really don't care to share that info, which is why I want to use PayPal. Fix this & I will be glad to donate.

wmf:Template:Click

Could an admin of the Foundation wiki delete this template? It's deprecated to the new link= feature ([[File:Example.jpg|link=Link target]]) and also unused. Thanks, --The Evil IP address 20:47, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Deleted. Thanks for heading up, --Aphaia 12:05, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Automatic bot archiving

I think it would be a good idea to get some sort of automatic archiving (maybe biweekly or monthly) on the Foundation wiki feedback page. It's starting to get crowded. DanRosenthal Wikipedia Contribution Team 00:54, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

PLEASE HELP. I want to make a general suggestion to help improve Wikipedia and also report a problem I have encountered with logging in. Unlike the ease with which one can access an article, I have spent half the morning trying to find a way to get a message through and this is the closest place I could find. I know this is not exactly the right place here either, but could someone please help me... where does one need to go to help Wiki in general become a better form of itself? Not talk about a specific article or comment about what has been written etc. but help improve the Wikipedia 'mechanism' so to speak.

As stated earlier, I've tried to log in and that is one of the problems I wanted to notify Wiki about. Anyway, in case someone wants to contact me, my email address is wwoodyard@gmail.com. Thanks and may I just say "Wikipedia nourishes my brain, enriches my soul and warms my heart". Philanthropy is alive and well in the human experience. Peace and love to you all, W. Woodyard.

This page concerns Wikimedia Foundation official site and not other projects, I have no idea which Wikipedia you are talking - there are 250 Wikipedia editions - so I cannot help you. In general each Wikipedia has a general discussion place, so please bring your issue up there.
Since this is an off topic, this message will be removed.
Thank you for your comprehension. --Aphaia 00:52, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
