- Abstract
It seems as though political culture is seeing another wave of anti-intellectualism in the United States, and the merits of traditional institutions once looked to for trusted information dissemination may be under siege. This talk discusses the intentional strategies and unintentional consequences of unequal access to information, and how a campaign for centralized dialogue through archival efforts may help undo the cultural damage - because simply having better resources available may not be enough.
- What will attendees take away from this session?
Attendees will have a greater understanding of the tools and strategies used to wage intellectual, cultural, and political war online, and from that understanding, hopefully look newly at how GLAM industries can address and potentially reverse the effect of those strategies to the benefit of the public.
