In this session, the speaker will go through the status of world heritage sites registration in Wikimedia and what can be done further from the organizations around the world which are now working to preserve the heritage sites and enlist them in digital formats. This session will also cover how to use Wikipedia for the world heritage education for the next generation and the outreach strategy for each UNESCO branch around the world and UNESCO ASPnet schools for the purpose.

What will attendees take away from this session
  1. Strategic approach to enlisting World Heritage Sites and World Intangible Heritage in Wikipages, and what can be further improved for the existing sites.
  2. Adding hyperlinks to other external digital repositories of world heritage.
  3. Future Plan for the outreach activities to each UNESCO branch and UNESCO ASPnet schools for the educational purposes for the coming generations. This will be especially important for people from countries where Internet connection is not stable and heavily disturbed by the government control agencies.
