Our recent experiences and results have shown long period activities is best suit our emerging community of contributors. From short term basic activities that have equip editors with basic editing skills in Hausa Wiktionary to more complex and dynamic ways of navigating and contributing to Wiktionary from other sister projects and also how to contribute to those sister projects within the Wikimedia ecosystem. Hausa Wiktionary Wikipedians is an initiative aim to contribute massively to Hausa Wiktionary as primary goal and at the same time introducing editors to other Wikimedia projects to help their skills, we believe Hausa Wiktionary is the foundation of understanding the language to learners and basis to reading and comprehending other Hausa Wikimedia sister projects. To have a standard Wiktionary among its peers that is enrich with innovative features for maximum user experience rich in content and quality.
Challenges is to maintain processes being establish and to further engage our teeming volunteer community, as enormous content is created by editors through empowering community with grant resources, there is still work in the making interactive discussions and responses from community members, the challenges include mitigating data cost support, transportation cost to events, proper communication,project to work, continuous project initiatives to work on to keep them appraise. We are positive this long time frame project can solve this issues to bolster our community motivation for a long time volunteerism during and after the project. We are striving to align community members on initiatives and innovative methods of contributing in Wiktionary to the best standard as establish in other Wikimedia Language Wiktionary for a sustainable editors retention of Hausa Wiktionary Volunteers, and boost to our Outreach activities. We believe this will create a stable foundation with community structures, platform of community ownership, sustainable partnership and collaboration in particular Hausa Language Department, Faculty of arts Kaduna State University for their expertise in mentorship, access to academic resources, the journey that lead to an establish fan hub in an academic institution is a demonstration of the teams resilience.The partnership with the Wiki sound campaign has tremendous shape the community development. The aim is to have a structured, coordinated and organize contributors of Wiktionary with inclusive, diverse perspective in content creation, curation for preserving Hausa literacy digital, and as as tool of educational resource for researchers, students and learners to the global community. To utilize our generated outcomes we intend to make continuous efforts in implementing various content initiatives below.
- Anagrams and synonyms: A section of Anagrams and synonyms will be created in words. An anagram as a word created by rearranging the letters from another word.As our previous activities result in massive words created, we realize that editors are having difficulty in searching and creating new words from (Ƙamus) Hausa dictionaries, adapting anagrams will help editors extract new words from existing ones easily and with fun and will improve vocabulary and user experience. For example, from the Hausa word (Bagaruwa) from it we will extract words like (Ruwa, Rawa, Aga, Garu, Baga, Aruwa), availability of this section will help in content quality and creation.Synonyms section will be added to understand Hausa Words similarly in other major languages.
- Grammatical structures improvements and harmonization: This initiative is paramount in presenting Hausa grammatical standard to learners and readers. Words will be created in the main/root word and other word formation explain.
- Nouns In Hausa (Suna) Nouns formation in Hausa vocabulary are either Singular (tilo), Plural (Jam'i), Masculine (Namiji) and Feminine (Mace).
Agential nouns indicating persons have three forms masculine, feminine and plural the masculine forms end in with suffix -i, the feminine in -iya and plural in -a, all categories are formed with the prefix ma-. Training and community mobilization: We shall arrange a series of in-person refresher trainings/meet-up that will actively engage our community. These workshops both in-person and online, are designed to equip participants with Wikimedia projects and provide essential training. The in-person/meetups workshops are scheduled across four (4) events in eights months and six (6) schedule online events to facilitate project discussions, provide insights into upcoming developments. One in-person/workshops in every two months interval to track and measure level of contributions from participants before next event. The scheduled is for them to carry out assignment/task, participate in online courses and participate in in-person events. As usual mentorship and support will also be provided to community members through team leaders who will guide and assist them in contributing efficiently to Hausa Wiktionary using resources such as brochure and guidelines and other Ƙamus (Hausa Dictionary) and other resources from our host institution. We envision to utilize this method after the project time frame to engage the participants by providing task activities for them to be carried out for retention.

Salisu Adamu: (Co-organiser) Administrator in Hausa Wiktionary. As a volunteer, has lead in projects, and also facilitate in several Wiktionary projects. Will partake on facilitation of training sessions.

The target participants for this project are existing members from the Hausa Wiktionary community, the most active, motivated, and contributors, majority of the existing editors are female whom have shown great enthusiasm, we hope when they are engage more the gender disparity is improved. And anyone from Hausa community who can contribute will be engage. volunteer students, staff recruited from the Hausa Language Department of Kaduna state University and fan hub.
Participants are added to the existing communication channels WhatsApp/Telegram group to encourage continued discussions and collaborations, for follow-up, updates, questions to ensure retention and sustainability.
