1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Wikidata is a very important project making available machine-readable data available to the whole world freely for use. Having attained this great milestone we want to increase awareness and show our community the importance of wiki data, how they can leverage it, and build their capacity and skills to contribute to this great project. This is significant especially with the Wikidatafor Education Pilot project happening in Ghana we want to use this opportunity to also get the community aware and how their participation in this project can complement education in Ghana.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Hosting a one-day workshop, bring onboard experts who has the skills to lead the training, provide tasks and assignments and provide rewards for contributors. Community members will share and add their voices.

We will be organizing a few activities and these include; introductory to wikidata Practical uses of wiki data How to practically edit wikidata
