Through the #SheSaid Campaigns for the last two years we were able to develop our own local Wikiquote out of incubation. For this year, we would like to know the outcome difference of contributing to a wikiproject from its own domain compared to contributing through Wikimedia Incubator. Also, we want to provide an avenue for all the #SheSain Campaign editors in our country to celebrate the milestones we achieved throughout the 3-year implementation of this campaign. We will use this year's activities to show our gratitude to Wiki Loves Women for endlessly supporting our cause in running this campaign to continuously help bridge the gap on gender representation on Wikimedia projects.
- 7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.
The sessions will include training, edit-a-thons, and campaign promotion. We are expecting to invite 60 new volunteers to learn the basics of editing, what are the Wikimedia projects, the significance of Wikiquote, gender issues in Wikimedia projects, and how they can participate in the SheSaid campaign through editing on Wikiquote. Edit-a-thons will be done on two priority projects, the Wikisambit (Central Bikol Wikiquote) and the Wikikawikaan (Tagalog Wikiquote), and we also aim to add quotations of notable Filipina on English Wikiquote. The campaign promotion will be in the form of art posters that portray women's empowerment and will be posted on our social media pages all throughout the duration of the campaign. To sustain the momentum and engagement of the participants, the edit-a-thons will also be in a form of a writing contest wherein the winning editors are expected to receive prizes from the organizers.
- 8. Describe your team. Please provide their roles, Wikimedia Usernames and other details. (required) Include more details of the team, including their roles, usernames, Wikimedia group, and whether they are salaried, volunteers, consultants/contractors, etc. Team members involved in the grant application need to be aware of their involvement in the project.
- User:BiancaBrazal - Design lead, honorary fee. As we cannot afford to pay the market fee of a designer, she agrees to a lower fee for creating visuals for the team. The rest of her working hours will be considered as volunteer work. This user has been helping our team in terms of graphics and visual representation since our first #SheSaid Campaign.
- User:Kunokuno - Volunteer capacity. His experiences and leadership training skills will be significant in the success of this campaign.
- User:YamPikit - an active volunteer on Central Bikol Wiktionary and attended several campaigns starting on Central Bikol Wiktionary Edit-a-thon 2021
- 9. Who are the target participants and from which community? How will you engage participants before and during the activities? How will you follow up with participants after the activities? (required)
In our previous campaigns, we noticed a significant interest and enthusiasm from junior and senior college students. For this year, we will continue to invite students and teachers. We are raising our targets to 60 new volunteers both virtual and in-person participation. Also constant follow-ups, small edit tasks, and reward system will still be implemented to ensure the campaign's success. Participants will also be invited to attend community hours of SheSaid, so they'll be able to meet other volunteers from other parts of the wiki world.
