1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

The Wildlife Conservation Project is a project that seeks to close the content gap in relation to content around species. The main reason why we are embarking on this content drive is because there is a huge gap and we are ready to ensure that information around species in relation to animals and plants. This project will be done in partnership with the Ghana Wildlife Society

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

1. Partnership: We are in talks with the Ghana Wildlife Society where they can provide us with content to be made on wikispecies project

2. Community Engagement: Growing a community around wikispecies in Ghana in relation to the volunteer who are already part of the the Ghana Wildlife Society & the non existing ones
3.Capacity Building: Introducing them to the wikipedia ecosystem and who they can contribute species related to biology on the space
4. Certificates: These would be given out at the end of the campaign after engaging through several works around contribution to wikispecies
3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

1. Content drive through article building list, this would be done by gathering data provided by the Ghana Wildlife Society

2. Our project would be for a year and the key focus is to ensure that members of the Ghana Wildlife Community are inspired to controbute all works they have through wikispecies as they also operate as a non-profit.
3. We would be running monthly edit-a-thons to increase their capacity and they way the contribute

Yes I do have a team who are experience to support me in the project. Richest Kid: Project lead and co-ordinator of the project Joris Darlington Quarshie : He would provide technical support to the team

The Ghana Wildlife Society has a lot of information on species of which some of these information cannot be really found on the wikispecies, wikipedia, wikidata etc, so for the year of content drive, we would be able to gather a lot of knowledge in the Ghanaian perspective and share it to the world around us

For now our target participant are the already existing volunteers, who are part of the Ghana Wildlife community and any interested can also join us.

A community whatsapp page will be created for as to engage as result of an emerging community in relation to wikispecies in Ghana.

A survey would be created using the outreach dashboard matric system to follow-up on their numerous contribution.

So the under-represented group are the volunteers at the Ghana Wildlife community who have the knowledge of various species and bioderversity, would be trained through our various training modules to aid them to have understanding on how the wiki works in other for them to contribute more.

We would introduce them to our friendly space policy or the UCOC which will enable them to be civil in all their enegagement or activities

For now we are having the Ghana Wildlife Society and they would enage by ensuring their community of volunteers are involved and also provide as with various content that will enable us solve the issues related to content gap in related to wikispecies
