The global annual WikiForHumanRights campaign rallies wikimedia communities to take action to improve and contribute to wikimedia projects stories of environmental rights which enable safe and stable climate, healthy ecosystems and a non-toxic environment. In its third year of operating under the theme ‘’Right to a Healthy Environment’’, regions are empowered to coordinate community or country efforts according to what is suitable for the region. The Africa region is shaping the campaign to build local knowledge related to the broader theme by shifting focus of action to wikimedia projects such as wikidata that have knowledge gaps on the local actions, initiatives or projects led by local climate or environmental activists in Ghana in Africa. In addition, we seek to improve the knowledge gap about these existing topics on Moore language wikipedia in the region in a way it will be accessible to people in Ghana and Burkina Faso. Through this campaign, we hope to build the knowledge of participants and the public about climate change and environment words in Moore language that will serve as useful tools for local climate advocacy and communication in Ghana and Burkina Faso.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Document stories, people and words related to environment and climate change in Ghana/Burkina Faso. Build knowledge of participants and the public about climate change and environment vocabulary in Moore language. Build the knowledge of participants on how to contribute climate change and environment vocabulary to wikimedia projects.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?
