1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Sharjah is known as the cultural capital of UAE . In Wikimedia commons there are no sufficient images of Sharjah Arts and culture. This wiki exploration phase 1 will help to increase the photo documents of Sharjah particularly light festival and Sharjah Biennial.

The objective of this event is to photo document the various heritage structures in this region. The Sharjah Light Festival is held annually in February in the third largest city in the UAE. During the festival, the city's iconic landmarks come to life with a vibrant display of colorful lights that are expertly choreographed to music. Both local and internationally renowned artists are showcased, making it a unique celebration of both cultural and artistic talent.

Starting from 2023-02-20, the Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) will bring together an impressive array of over 150 artists and collectives from more than 70 countries for the 15th edition and 30-year anniversary of the Sharjah Biennial. Curated by SAF's Director Hoor Al Qasimi and inspired by the late Okwui Enwezor's groundbreaking work, Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present will pay tribute to Enwezor's visionary impact on the contemporary art world, and his influence on institutions and biennials around the world, including the Sharjah Biennial.
