1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

1. Missing image or picture on Togo protected areas

2. Lack of information about the state and the type of the biodiversity of the natural heritage of Togo
3. Missing of images related to local biodiversity in wikimedia article of Togo

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

1. Add more images about the natural heritage in Togo country and improve articles by integrating these images in their related articles or creating articles for non existing articles on occupations in our country.

2. Recruit and train new editors through the various photo expeditions, upload sessions and edit-a-thons.
3. Add freely licensed, and quality images of natural heritages of Togo to Wikimedia Commons.
4. Engage existing editors to contribute to Commons and other sister projects.
5. Raise awareness about the Wikimedia movement and its activities.

1. Workshop about the events and how to participate

2. Photowalks to gather random pictures (400 different unrepeated, quality images of Togo's natural will be taken)

5. Post contest integration edit-a-thon (At least 20 articles will be written, 15 on Wikipedia and 5 on wikispecies)

Wikispecies is an open, wiki-based species directory and central database of taxonomy. It is aimed at the needs of scientific users rather than general users.

Akouete : Project lead :The Project Leader will lead the overall project development and activity implementation, ensuring compliance to the grant commitments and reporting to the Project on progress and status of activities. Hermannkass : Partnership : He is co-organizer and is also in charge of the partnership. His role is to mobilize young people around the project and to facilitate access to the protected areas targeted by this project. Saliousoft & Adoscam ( Wikimedia Benin User group) : support : Based on their many years experience in wikimedia contribution, their support in terms of training, field experience, monitoring and reporting will be very useful for the success of our project.

Togo has an abundance of animal and plant species in its protected areas. However, few of these informations are available online, especially on wikipedia. Wiki Loves Earth is a contest that promotes a better knowledge of local biodiversity through photography. This competition will provide an opportunity to collect many pictures of species from the protected areas of Togo. This will help to fill the information and image gap on the protected areas of Togo.

This contest is open to everyone without any exception. All nature lovers who have images to share of Togo's classified forests and their species are welcome to join the contest. Several members of the previous project are expected to participate in this one. All participants are fully supported (travel, meals, accommodation, ...). We will do our best to ensure that participants feel comfortable on the project.

We will create a working environment based on the respect of people rights in accordance with the foundation's universal code of conduct policy.
