6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)

1. We aim to add more images about cultures in Burundi and improve articles by integrating the images in related articles or creating articles for non existing articles on Burundi cultures; 2. We aim to recruit and train new editors through the various photo expeditions, upload sessions and edit-a-thons. 3. We aim to engage existing editors to contribute to Wikimedia Commons and other sister projects. 4. We aim to create awareness about the Wikimedia movement.

During the Wiki Loves Folklore campaign, participants will shoot photos related to the culture, including traditional dances, traditional music, traditional activities, traditional games, traditional cuisine, traditional costumes and clothing, folklore and traditions, including ballads, stories, tales and legends, traditional songs and dances, etc. popular theatre, games, and to download on Wikimédia Commons : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Folklore_2024_au_Burundi

Wiki Loves Folklore is opened to all burundians, women and men interrested in contributing to Wikimedia projects, especially to Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia. To engage participants, we will use information posters to advertise and call for new volunteers; we will use social media to advertise the event. During the activities, we will still in contact with the participants during trainings offline and online, and a communication channel will be set up to interact with participants in case of anny issue that participants could meet.
