A health professional, healthcare professional, or healthcare worker is a provider of health care treatment and advice based on formal training and experience. The field includes those who work as a nurse, physician (such as family physician, internist, obstetrician, psychiatrist, radiologist, surgeon etc.), physician assistant, registered dietitian, veterinarian, veterinary technician, optometrist, pharmacist, pharmacy technician, medical assistant, physical therapist, occupational therapist, dentist, midwife, psychologist, audiologist, healthcare scientist, or who perform services in allied health professions. There is inadequate content about the different health professionals and health institutes like hospitals in Nigeria on Wikipedia and the existing Categories of Nigerian health professionals https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nigerian_health_professionals does not reflect the actual statistics of Nigerian health professionals in public and private health sectors in Nigeria. For instance, only Aliyu Usman El-Nafaty https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliyu_Usman_El-Nafaty is listed as Nigerian health writer and Uche Ikonne https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uche_Ikonne is the only Nigerian optometrist listed on Wikipedia with refer. It is also discovered that there is an incomplete categorization of health professionals in Nigeria . More so, There is no list of Nigerian health professionals on Wikipedia . The list of hospitals in Nigeria on Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hospitals_in_Nigeria shows there is still need to create articles for Etta Atlantic Memorial Hospital, Lekfad Medical Centre, UDUTH Sokoto, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. In a query run to check the list of hospitals in Nigeria,https://w.wiki/7yVj, Over 300 out of 500 hospitals in Nigeria has missing items. In a query carried out on Wikidata query builder for notable health professionals in Nigeria, *https://w.wiki/7yV* the result indicated only 7 hospitals with a lot of missing statements that can assist researchers and readers. This project will help correct and improve;

the incomplete categorization of Nigerian health professionals the existing Wikidata items about Nigerian health professionals the existing Wikidata items about Nigerian health Institutes This project will;

Wikipedia and wikidata. Wiki Loves Nigerian health professionals aims at bridging gap that exists about health professionals and hospitals on Wikipedia. This event will bring together health professionals training in various institutions in Nigeria both physically and virtually.

Approaches:

Training and Recruiting new editors: The program would train 50 volunteers on how to positively contribute to articles relating to Nigeria health professional and hospitals in Nigeria Closing Knowledge Gaps: The training would close the knowledge gaps by digging deep into some notable but forgotten Nigeria health professionals and hospitals in Nigeria on Wikipedia and Wikidata.

Closing Gender Gaps: The training would also equipped the participants with the necessary materials and guidelines to improve and create articles about Nigeria health professionals who are women in Nigeria.

Improving existing articles: Most of the articles about Nigeria health professionals and health insistutions in Nigeria are stubs. They lack appropriate categorisation, no description and are without images. The participants would be trained on how to successfully contribute to them, new editors will take up this task to keep them occupied and show case their learning skills. However the editing will be closely monitored to avoid vandalism. Weekly training will also be heard to achieve the quality of their edits.

Creating articles: To prevent vandalism and tampering with articles, only experienced editors will be allowed to create new articles and they will be exposed to the guidelines guiding it. The participants would be highly trained to be able to identify and create notable and qualitative articles.

Edit-a-thon: After the editors have been trained on how to create and improve articles related to Nigeria health professionals, there will be a closely monitored edit-a-thon that would be used to massively improve Wikipedia and it's sisters' project of Wikipedia and Wikidata.

Feedback: Google forms would be created to generate feedback from the participants and ther perception towards the Campaign in a form of Post survey

During the trainings, the participants would be exposed to both general and specific notability guidelines, sourcing for reliable references, writing from objective point of view etc. This would be done by three facilitators.

2. Two (2) series of online reinforcement training: To adequately provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and abilities for editing on Wikipedia, Wikicommons, etc. One online facilitator will use the online portions to polish the new editors' flaws and improve their editing abilities.

3 Edit-a-thon:. After the two days of in-person training and the two days of online instruction, there will be a two-week time for the participants to edit and put their newly acquired knowledge into practise.

4. Review and award presentation: After the edit-a-thon, three days would be used for review session. The Edit-a-thon winners would be awarded with gift vouchers.
