1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

This project aims to commemorate the International Youth Day (IYD) 2022 in the movement by working with young people in the Nigeria Wikimedia movement to mobilize and engage participants across all the Nigeria Wikimedia communities to improve articles related to this year's IYD theme "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages".

This project also aims to support local coordinators, raise awareness, engage existing contributors, increase contributions to the Wikimedia projects, and strengthen local Wikimedia communities in Nigeria to build and engage the community.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Our main strategies would include but not limited to the following: Organizing physical meetup in each community. Virtual conversation and support hours for all participants. Create and improve articles related to this year's IYD theme "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages". Follow-up on all participants to know if they are having any challenges.

This work will address the content gap by focusing on article relating to Intergenerational Solidarity; Creating a World for All Ages which is the theme of the IYD in Nigeria on Wikipedia, Wikidata and WikiCommons.

This work will also recognize the role of young people in shaping the Wikimedia community and mainstreaming their energy towards the mission and vision of the community.
