Project Goal[edit]

|summary=I would like to buy a big scan dataset (more than two TB) for Ancient Chinese Books.

They will be uploaded to Wiki Commons for usage in Chinese Wikisource.

They will enrich the collection of Wikimedia Commons.

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. What will you and other organizers spend your time doing?

I will first buy the dataset, then I will identify those are in Public Domain (I expect the vast majority of them are), and finally I will upload those in Public Domain to Wikimedia Commons.

How will you let others in your community know about your project (please provide links to where relevant communities have been notified of your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions)? Why are you targeting a specific audience?

I will write this in Chinese Wikisource to let others know.

What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?

I have already uploaded a huge number of ancient Chinese books to wikimedia commons. See c:Special:ListFiles/維基小霸王 and c:Special:ListFiles/wmr-bot.

Impact[edit]

A huge number of Chinese ancient books (size >1TB) will be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons.
