Project Goal[edit]

- Engage Developers within Juba South Sudan
- Invite community members to participate in technical aspects of the Wikimedia Movement
- Join to participate in the global 2022 Wikimedia Hackathon
- Recruit new editors inviting them to participate in a local pre-hackathon workshop and the Wikimedia Hackathon 2022
- Invite at least 5 TECHNICAL members of the NCA (National Communication Authority): A communication leverage platform in the country to contribute to the program
- Introduce participants to some Wikimedia tools
- Train participants on different Wikidata tools such as Quickstatements

- We would organize pre-hackathon meetups so participants would be prepared for the Hackathon properly.

- The target community have been reached out via direct invitations and as well via different social media platforms
What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?
- Create Wikipedia awareness.
- Recruit new members.
- Equip new and existing editors with needed skills.
- Networked with the developers union in Juba and hence increased on the visibility of the work of developers and how they can contribute to the vision 2030 of wikimedia
