Samatics/Nigeria Markets on Wikidata
Markets in Nigeria offer a broad and diverse range of new, second-hand goods, products and merchandise for consumers. A query on Wikidata for markets in Nigeria returns just 1 result. I plan to organize trainings and editathons to improve these contents on Wikidata. I will be using this training and editathon to introduce Wikidata to a community of editors who are majorly teachers and students in Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria and have an existing Whatsapp group. They were introduced to Wikipedia during the Wikipedia 20 Celebration. This project is aimed to introduce and solidify their interest in another Wikimedia project.
