What problem are you trying to solve by doing this project? This problem should be small enough that you expect it to be completely or mostly resolved by the end of this project.

The Translation Task Force (TTF) is a joint venture between WikiProject Medicine, Wiki Project Med Foundation, and Translators Without Borders that seeks to reduce language barrier for health info by collaborativelly translate medical content into many different languages. 1,900 articles has been already translated in more than 90 languages thanks to the TTF effort. Wikipedia in Lingala has so little medical related articles. Most of them are not totally translated. There are many simplified articles that need to be translated into that language.

This project does not claim to write ALL Wikipedia medical contents into Lingala, but we will work toword translating summary of some popular deseases and creating awarness of editing WP in French and Lingala. In collaboration with Wiki Project Med Foundation we will pick 10 to 20 articles and translate them into Lingala. 2 language specialistes will help review translations.

- Translate summary of at least 10 good articles about popular deaseses in my country from French to Lingala.
- Recruit new contributors

How will you know if you have met your goals?[edit]
For each of your goals, we’d like you to answer the following questions:
- During your project, what will you do to achieve this goal? (These are your outputs.)
- Once your project is over, how will it continue to positively impact the Wikimedia community or projects? (These are your outcomes.)
For each of your answers, think about how you will capture this information. Will you capture it with a survey? With a story? Will you measure it with a number? Remember, if you plan to measure a number, you will need to set a numeric target in your proposal (i.e. 45 people, 10 articles, 100 scanned documents).

- 32 people will participate in our edit-a-thon. 30 of them will be new editors.
- We will translate 15 articles about medicine from French into Lingala.
Do you have any goals around participation or content?[edit]
Are any of your goals related to increasing participation within the Wikimedia movement, or increasing/improving the content on Wikimedia projects? If so, we ask that you look through these three metrics, and include any that are relevant to your project. Please set a numeric target against the metrics, if applicable.

Activities[edit]
Tell us how you'll carry out your project. What will you and other organizers spend your time doing? What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?
I am in good relationship with both some students and lectures of the faculty. Thanks to that relationship I will introduce my project and capture their motivation. We’ll formalize our process by getting in touch with the dean at least 2 weeks before we run the project. At the same time some will be working to get all needed materials (t-shirts, handbooks…) ready. We’ll ask to the faculty to provide us with list of 30 participants at least 1 week before the project due date. In the mean time someone will be in charge of preparing the meta page for the project while other members will be contacting participants for confirmation of their participation and ask them to create accounts on fr.wikipedia.org. An other group will be in charge of seeking the 2 language specialists. At 3 days left before the due date we will insure that every thing is ok:
- last contact with participants
- visit the local
- meet everybody involved in the project organization
- etc.
At 1 day left we will run a pre-event with 2 – 3 students and everyone involved in the project.
On the due date will get to the faculty at least 30 minutes before the due hour. We’ll spend 1 hour and half or 2 hours their.
After the event
- meta page will be updated
- photos will be uploaded on Commons
- follow up with students via e-mail, sms or social medias
- get ready for WMF grant report.
