  • Hi there, I understand that you have an event in October 8 (correct if i'm wrong) who will use half of the money. Can you please describe how that money will be spend? And there are any other event already planned? Béria Lima msg 20:26, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm sorry, my Internet has been down for a couple of days since I posted this.

The money would be spent on lunch for the event and other snacks during the talks. The exact amount depends on attendance (last time we waited until everyone showed up in the morning and then ordered the food for lunch so we knew how much was needed), and we have not even advertised the event yet. The numbers I listed were the real costs for the August 6 event, but we expect more in October, especially with the Archivist of the United States in attendance. More events in College Park are planned, in the sense that they will definitely happen, but are not yet scheduled with a fixed date. Dominic 18:14, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your answer, Dominic. And I don't see any problem funding with this grant (but I'm not the only who make the decision ;) so my opinion does not count that much). Béria Lima msg 13:14, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, while the decision is indeed not hers, Béria's opinion, like that of other Grant Advisory Committee (GAC) members, does count quite a bit. The WMF decides on grants based on a number of things, but the aggregate opinion of the GAC is a significant component in the WMF's decision. Ijon 17:04, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I also see no problem with such grant, however i always recommend to ask a grant of actual quoted amount But in that Case Grant amount is not so big.So i think it can be granted.--Mayur (talkEmail) 02:43, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reviewed. I think it should be approved. Abbasjnr 06:42, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
