Audio relationship in three Wikimedia sister project is a welcome idea,the possible impact will lead to linking available audio files in wikimedia commons to other language wikis where the words are synonymous in pronunciation.

Also I forsee a greater language Audio files development usage interchangeable. Volunteers engagement in this project will be impactful improving and polishing articles in terms of audio files. But to achieve this huge impact depends on implementation of the activities, such as conducive training, follows up with participants. I Wish u all the best. Endorsement[edit]

I believe sound is very essential to articles on wikis more especially since every language has it’s own dialect and different pronounciation. I support this project. Uncle Bash007 (talk) 08:55, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

--Captain1044 (talk) 14:49, 6 February 2024 (UTC) 1. The proposal is important to the community because it will help in influencing wikimedia three sister project within the community and also the strategies taken will help in achieving the result because it will be an open project for those who are interested. 2. The activities chosen for this project were suitable for the community as there will be three different training for the three wikimedia sister project. 3. We may say the proposal focuses on audios improvement and uploading them to the wikimedia Commons. 4. Yes this project will contribute in promoting the tradition and culture. Wiki loves Africa. 5. Yes it is.Reply

Not Funded[edit]

Hello @Sadauki11 thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed your application and after a careful review, have decided to not fund this application at this time, for the following reasons;

  • The proposal mentions involvement/participation of Igbo and Yoruba community participation, however there is little evidence that those editors are actually involved.
  • The budget includes some items, such as security for car watching, which is not be standard practice in the region for which you are applying from. Additionally, regarding the budget the justification for each budget item is not clear and the costs associate appear to be overestimated.
  • The current team composition lacks both on-wiki and organising experience . This is always important as team experience contributes to the overall success of a project like the one your have outlined in this application.
  • Finally, is is important to align the project with Wikimedia's youth safety policy requirements. Outlining clear measures for adherence to these policies will be essential in ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Given the concerns raised, we recommend that you start with a micro-grant from the Wikimedia Nigeria User group, as they are best placed to provide the support that you require. This would allow the team to demonstrate capability on a smaller scale, refine their skills, and build a track record of experience that could support future applications.
