Report accepted[edit]

Hi Shahadusadik, thanks for submitting this comprehensive final report. We are grateful for your immense work to document the Daghbani language. We appreciate the project outcomes and your commitment to produce high quality content. I’m happy to accept the final report and expense documents for this grant with the following questions:

  • Which tools did you use to record the words? Did you face any challenges when recording the words?
  • What plans do you have about the usage of this content? Did you run any activities to increase the usage of these media files in other Wikimedia projects?
  • Did you receive any feedback from other Daghbani speakers/users about this work?

Once again, thank you so much for your work and dedication. We are glad to mark this grant as completed. Best wishes, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 14:48, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DSaroyan (WMF), thank you for accepting our final report. Here are the answers to your questions above:
  • We used an android application called Spell4wiki. We did not face any challenge recording the words.
  • The app allows users to directly record and upload audio files to Wiktionary but because we currently don't have a Dagbani language wiktionary yet, we added some of the audio recordings to some Dagbani Wikipedia articles and Wikidata Lexemes. An example is the P443 value of this Lexeme.
  • Yes!, we had great responses from native speakers and other local language Wikipedia communities who are also interested in the project.

Once again, thank you for the support. Shahadusadik (talk) 23:59, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
