Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Hackathon 2022/Greece Ionian University

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Thank you for applying to host a local meetup at the Wikimedia Hackathon! We are so grateful you took the time to put together a proposal, and are highly impressed by your work. We have some questions regarding your application. Please address these questions as soon as possible.

  1. The maximum amount this grant can be is 5000 USD. Your proposal currently requests more; please lower the request amount so we can proceed.
  2. The local meetup grants cannot be used to sponsor swag, prizes, or certificates, in order to keep the experience standard and fair for other participants around the world. Can you remove this from your itemized total?
  3. Would you be interested in having a WMF staff member attend or support the event? (This will not affect your application).

Thank you again for your proposal! Our regards, The Hackathon Local Meetup Committee

Thanks for the feedback. On the first question: I lower the requested amount. On the third question: I already contacted Ariel Glenn. Ariel will help us either in person or online. -- Magioladitis (talk) 15:07, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

But if you want to send someone else too, I sure wouldn't mind! ArielGlenn (talk) 11:47, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Committee Decision[edit]

Congratulations! This proposal has been funded. A few next steps:

  1. If you have not already been in touch with the Wikimedia Grants team, please respond immediately.
  2. Post your meetup on the Hackathon Local Meetups page.
  3. List yourself as a participant.
  4. Get started implementing your event!
  5. Don't forget, you will need to submit a report summarizing your event by the end of June.

Again, our sincere congratulations. --HLepp (WMF) (talk) 00:58, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
