Hello Wikimedia Ghana User Group thank you for submitting this grant request. It's great to see that you have target areas you're hoping to capture for WLM. I look forward to seeing the images from this photo walk. I have a couple of follow up questions:

  • Can you clarify what the equipment costs are? Are you planning to rent a camera for the photo walks?

  • This application is written as a photo walk as opposed to a contest but I see in the miscellaneous expenses table you list  ¢ 500 as a prize for a local winner. Are you planning to award one of the 5 participants a prize at the end of this project? How will the winner be decided? Will there be a possibility for more people to join the competition? We will have to move the application to another page/template then. WLM internationally is a contest. A local jury is set up each year to determine the winning photos from Ghana to compete with others internationally. WLM already has tools it gives for determining winners each year.
It's not just the 5 participants who can win the prize money. Anyone who joins can. And more people can join the competition. We will call for participation only after the grant is approved.
