Outcome required to close out report[edit]

Dear Shangkuanlc,

Thank you for submitting this report.

Can you also please email your receipts to participation (_AT_) wikimedia  · org?

I appreciate that you have shared the materials from the presentation that you and Nichole Saad (WMF) gave at ACTC2017. It sounds like you were pleased with the results of the presentation.

As you may recall, we also require an outcome before we can accept your report. Per our reporting guidelines, an outcome might be a learning pattern to teach others something you've learned, a link to something new that was co-created by you and your fellow participants at the event, or a blog post you wrote to share your experience with others after the event. Though we also like for you to link to the materials you presented at your workshop (as you have), the outcome is a separate requirement. The intention is to encourage you to share the benefits of your participation more widely with the community. Can you please provide a link to an outcome before we review this report?

Warm regards,

--Marti (WMF) (talk) 16:31, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Following up[edit]

Hello again, Shangkuanlc,

I'm following up to ask you again about your outcome requirement for this report. We can't approve your report until we have it.

Warm regards,

--Marti (WMF) (talk) 17:14, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mjohnson (WMF): Sorry for my late reply. It seems like you prefer I write more about it. I will try to write a learning pattern this month. Can I write the learning pattern in Chinese and ask some other volunteer to translate the article in English? --Liang(WMTW) (talk) 08:51, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Liang, you are very welcome to write your learning pattern in Chinese. If you know a volunteer who is willing to translate it to English, you can also include a translation, but it is not required. The learning pattern in Chinese is sufficient.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Liang, please be sure to follow up here on your talkpage and post a link to your learning pattern once you have completed it. Warmly, --Marti (WMF) (talk) 12:33, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Report will be marked incomplete on September 14, 2017[edit]

Dear Shangkuanlc,

Since we have not received your learning pattern or something else that meets the outcome requirement, we cannot yet approve this report. If we do not hear back from you by September 14, 2017, we will mark your report incomplete. Please note that you will not be eligible for grant funding from the Wikimedia Foundation so long as your report is incomplete.

As I said above, you can write a learning pattern in Chinese. That would be wonderful! It is not necessary to provide translation in English.

Let us know if you need support in completing your learning pattern or some other outcome. We are happy to help!

Warm regards,

--Marti (WMF) (talk) 16:45, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Marking report incomplete[edit]

Dear Shangkuanlc,

Since we have not received your learning pattern or something else that meets the outcome requirement, we are marking your report incomplete. Please note that you will not be eligible for grant funding from the Wikimedia Foundation unless you complete your report by writing a learning pattern (or providing another outcome) and submitting receipts, or by returning the funds that were contributed toward your participation by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Please contact us if you would like help with completing your report. We are very happy to offer you support in finishing. Writing a learning pattern can seem more intimidating than it is, so don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.

Warm regards,

--Marti (WMF) (talk) 16:37, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
