Instructions
[edit]- Tips for finding a source yourself
- Check on Google Books, or your local library or national library may be able to obtain it through an interlibrary loan or subscription. Snippets on Google Books may help you identify which exact pages you need to request.
- Search Google Scholar for archived copies of journals in institutional repositories.
- Search Internet Archives which may have what you need.
- Check whether your school/college library offers electronic document delivery services for alumni—many do, for a small fee.
- Send a request to the author(s) of research papers for a copy of their paper by email.
- Making a request
- A request may be an open question or you may ask for a specific journal, article or work
- All kinds of sources are possible here: newspapers, magazine article, databases, encyclopedias laws, books, etc.
- Please specify the language of the resource like Tamil, Gujarati etc so the relevant language editor can help. Information of the resource in English can be also helpful.
- We cannot perform full book scans requests due to copyright.
- You may contact research helpers directly or make a request on this page
- To receive email without disclosing your email address publicly, configure your email in Special:Preferences
- Provide as much detail as possible: a full citation with author, title, publisher, and date or identifiers like DOI, ISBN, ISSN, OCLC, PMID, etc. The editor who provides resource would be able to identify the resource by these identifiers even if he/she does not know the language.
- Please specify what Wikipedia article you want to improve in which language or where the resource will be helpful.
- The request fulfillment may take some time so be patient.
- Once a request has been fulfilled add the {{Resolved}} template.
- Filled requests are archived.
- Requests unfilled after three months will be archived.
