Applications-system.svg This language has been verified as eligible.
The language is eligible for a project, which means that the subdomain can be created once there is an active community and a localized interface, as described in the language proposal policy. You can discuss the creation of this language project on this page.

Once the criteria are met, the language committee can proceed with the approval, will verify the test project content with a reliable neutral source, such as a professor or expert and notify the Board of Trustees for a possible veto.

If you think the criteria are met, but the project is still waiting for approval, feel free to notify the committee and ask them to consider its approval.

A committee member provided the following comment:

Eligible language. You are encouraged to contribute on incubator:Wp/dar. --Millosh (talk) 18:55, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
  • The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
  • The community needs to complete required MediaWiki interface translations in that language (about localization, translatewiki, check completion).
  • The community needs to discuss and complete the settings table below:
What Value Example / Explanation

Discussion[edit]

Dargin language is one of the languages of the peoples of Dagestan. Dargin language available on the newspapers and radio and television broadcasts and teaching children in kindergartens and schools. Dargin Dargin language unites the entire world. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Дарган 05 (talk)

Neutral for now. Not enough activity yet to justify a whole subdomain. Continue the good work on Incubator, and I may change to support. Caliburn (talk) 08:56, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Weak Support in the long term, but not in the immediate term. Definitely an important regional language in Dagestan, the wiki itself is starting to gain in activity, as seen here, albeit mostly from anonymous editors, but it still has a long way to go. Given time this project may grow to satisfy the requirements and become a full-fledged wiki. Abrahamic Faiths (talk) 22:04, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
