Constitution of Wikimedia Hong Kong
The preparartion works of Wikimedia Hong Kong began in September 2006. At this moment we have many consensuses on the organization and future operation.
From now on, we are going to translate the Constitution into english, and send it to you, for the deliberation of the Chapters committee.
One question we would like to raise, that we have made several bylaws beside the Constitution, according to the common practice of the common law. So do we have to translate and send you the bylaws along with the chapter?--encyclopedist 15:37, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Excuse me, but I want to translate the FAQ into Spanish. With the pending aproval of Wikimedia Argentina, discussion about Chapters in the Spanish community has aroused, and it will be very helpful for those who don't understand English. I wonder if I could began with the translation, and if the committee makes changes to the english one, I would make them as well in the Spanish version. - Hi, a trial translation into spanish is here. This version is a "unofficial" version, but It's a direct translation of english version. We are working in Wikimedia España chapter's creation and I think that this document would be interesting to our comunity. I'm wathching the english page and I'll add all the changes that Chapter's Committee make to it. When the final FAQ document get approved I'll redo the spanish version.
- Thanks and sorry for my english...--Elisardojm 11:55, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Contacting the Chapters committee
I sent an e-mail message to the Chapters committee list with inquiries for the planned Wikimedia New York City, but have received no response after over a week.--Pharos 15:10, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- I believe that they are aware of and have received your e-mail, but the whole US chapters model is currently in a more developmental stage (however, I believe they have discussed this and may publish the proposed model soon). Delphine, the Chapters Coordinator, has also been away from home for a while and will hopefully get back to you when she gets back home. Cbrown1023 talk 01:44, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
