Talk:Stewards/Phabricator

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

I heard complaints in the past about how tedious this table is to update, so I created the tracking bug 41492, which allows automatic listings like tree view, graph view or bug search/table (aka [1] if not logged in) which contains more or less the same info than this table. --Nemo 16:56, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this, really. Regards. -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 18:43, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Phabricator project[edit]

It has been discussed to convert phab:T43492 into a project. Request is at that ticket and phab:T112891. We shall discuss:

  1. Whether to move the tracking bug into a project.
  2. Which name?

Yes

No
I don't care
  1. I repeat my comment from the bug: I dont even know what a project is. What is the advantage? --MF-W 15:36, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@MF-Warburg: You have better possibilties to sort the tasks, and got a workboard, like at this project. Greetings, Luke081515 15:39, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The workboard is not mandatory and it's unused on most tags, by the way. --Nemo 17:35, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but with a project, you can set a custom filter (search for stalled tasks only etc.) which is not possible with a tracking bug. Greetings, Luke081515 17:42, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify: it's not possible with poor software such as Phabricator, while it's possible in Bugzilla (still available for old data: http://bugs.wmflabs.org/ ). --Nemo 08:54, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The workboard looks rather atrocious, but then again the complete Phabricator does. --MF-W 20:11, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
