Feedback on new feature[edit]

@Johanna Strodt (WMDE): I've tested the feature on both Wikidata and the Cantonese Wikipedia and can confirm that it works as you described, though I have two questions:

  1. (Easy question) Where do we go to localize the interface messages for this new feature?
  2. (Hard question) Why is this in the "appearance" tab rather than the "recent changes" tab in Special:Preferences?

  1. Because the feature is part of MediaWiki core, the interface messages are included in this big group: https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&group=mediawiki You can search for messages with "rollback" or "confirm" to narrow it down.
  2. The setting is in the "appearance" tab because there are several places in the different wikis where the rollback link is shown: recent changes, diff pages, version history and more.

Hi, thanks for this step, it's useful but can we take it further. Instead of a thank like confirmation, can't we have a popup for confirmation and some spaces to write a summary if needed. Thanks.--Cohaf (talk) 18:46, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Cohaf: Thanks for your feedback! Taking it further would be a new wish, as this one was specifically about preventing accidental rollbacks.
