Hong Kong or Washington?[edit]

Which city is hosting the event?
Several of the languages are saying Washington, D.C.

Вашингтон, штат Колумбія (США).

According to this ^^^, the Ukrainians will be convening in Washington (Вашингтон).

The Chinese and the Japanese have got it right: Hong Kong (香港).

So do the Russians (Гонконг) and the Arabs (هونغ كونغ).

But the Finns and the Esperantists have it wrong.

The Iranians are saying Washington (واشینگتن) as well.

My Hebrew is terrible but that (וושינגטון) looks like Washington to me.

Yiddish also has it wrong (וואשינגטאן).

Belarusian (old orthography/be-tarask) too ("Вашынгтоне, ЗША"). Persian has Washington D.C. as well. Gujarati (gu), Hebrew, Hungarian, (not sure about Khmer/Cambodian) also. I stopped checking at "km". πr² (t • c) 22:31, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in Marathi (mr) translations[edit]

Hello! I noticed some errors in Marathi translations. The status is "published". Hence i did not dare change it there. Here is the better script. Please someone do the honours.

Point no 9 uses the phrase "early bird" which is simply transliterated as "अर्ली बर्ड" here, which is not exactly right. But i dont know any phrase that could go. Dharmadhyaksha (talk) 17:03, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Russian translation[edit]

Destination[edit]

The URL in the banner [1] links wm2013:Submissions. It should use wm2013:Special:MyLanguage/Submissions, and if possible also set the language of the interface. Why doesn't Wikimania wiki use mw:ULS for unregistered users, by the way? You should ask it: being a small wiki it should be able to get it. --Nemo 14:25, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
