Also there is a flight from Katowice (Poland) to Kyiv (IEV), prices 800-2000 UAH (one way). --Visem (talk) 11:17, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

The only problem is Katowice-Kyiv: arrival either Wednesday at 15:50 (too early) or Friday at 15:50 (too late). It may be an option, but I haven't listed it here due to the date problem (and because we don't have any attendees from Katowice region so far) — NickK (talk) 14:19, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
By the way, for today this is the most popular way among Ukrainian and Polish Wikimedians who visited partner events. --Visem (talk) 20:00, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

WY

[edit]

As with the venue I'm pretty sure most of the info could be substitued with a link to the Wikivoyage article. The latter could be improved in needed. I think we must try to get as much direct free knowledge projects improving as can. --Base (talk) 20:49, 1 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

I don't think that plane ticket prices or train schedules for 18—21 December will be useful for anyone. Schedules can change very rapidly, and they may become obsolete in a few months, and prices become obsolete in a few days. You are free to transfer whatever you like to Wikivoyage (license allows), but please do not delete it here as it would be way more practical to provide all travel information at the same page. Thanks — NickK (talk) 21:22, 1 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Travel assistance

[edit]

Will the WMF make the reservation for people who need travel assistance or should we make our own arrangements? I heard something about a grant request, but I haven't seen the request on meta - can someone provide a link?--Strainu (talk) 12:26, 2 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The grant request Grants:PEG/WM UA/CEE Meeting 2014 was accepted today (Tuesday 2 Dec.) and it includes 20 scolarships for participants' travel arrangements. We are currently checking which option will be most suitable from both legal and organisational point of view: either we will ask participants to make arrangemnts themselves and they will be reimbursed later or we will book tickets for all participants directly. We expect to have more information on this tomorrow (Wednesday 3 Dec.) — NickK (talk) 03:34, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
