Talk:Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees/Ideal candidate profile (2019)

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

In accordance with other pages, this could be called Affiliate-selected Board seats/2019/Call for candidates or this should be at least created as a redirect to this page.--Alexmar983 (talk) 23:44, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think you can create the redirect. TY! --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 07:37, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I did and it's worng. Affiliate-selected Board seats/2019/Call for Candidates already exist, Elitre (WMF) but has a capitol letter and now I can't move to the rght title because I have already created it. I did not expect to WMF make two pages on this topic.--Alexmar983 (talk) 08:27, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I must have read this wrong. To sum up: This was never meant to be the "call for candidates" page. This is just the Board providing some advice. The Board is not responsible for setting up ASBS pages, just offered thoughts to help people figure out their position and needs. Call for Candidates with a capital C is how the other page was called in 2016. I thought you were going to call this one "Affiliate-selected Board seats/2019/Ideal candidate profile" or something. If there's anything you need fixed, feel free to elaborate. Thanks! --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 17:07, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also: it takes literally a few minutes to fix double redirects and such. I'm sure people at Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat will be glad to help. Have a nice weekend. --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 17:14, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fyi I sent Erica a refined version of the profile the Board completed - minor tweaks for clarity and precision - and hope she can update the text shortly without disrupting the translation. (Ping Ad.) Kind regards, Raystorm (talk) 11:03, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll be able to work on that later. The way the system works means that even the slightest change unfortunately invalidates existing translations - but I'm confident our translators can forgive us for that and will update accordingly. --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 11:17, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
