Upgrade to magic word[edit]

{{Edit request}}

Since T59603 has been fixed, this template is obsolete. To improve performances and to ensure it is really useless now, we should replace its content with {{PAGELANGUAGE}}. Indeed, this magic word is supposed to have the same behavior. --Pols12 (talk) 21:50, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Pols12: These are not the same. {{PAGELANGUAGE}} returns what MediaWiki thinks the page language is, this template returns what the page title suggests the language is. Pages translated without the Translate extension usually don’t have their page language properly set, see e.g. pages with titles containing “fr” but with English page language (930 results, including very few false positives). —Tacsipacsi (talk) 22:13, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You’re right (again ^^). So, all these pages should be fixed. I add this task to my to-do list… --Pols12 (talk) 22:46, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
