Dear colleague! Thanks for improve translation on Kezdőlap. This old style page. For transfer Magyar Main Page (Kezdőlap) to new unified design, you can make translation of Template:Main Page/hu (was started by User:Tgr, but he does not have enough time to complete this work). Maybe you do finish this work? It would be perfect!

Just click to "edit-link" in every section and translate all values after "=". After complete translation need replace text in Kezdőlap to transcluding of {{Main Page/hu}} (as in Russian). Thanks in advance ;) --Kaganer (talk) 17:28, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

The best ;) Please translate also this section --Kaganer (talk) 13:13, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Also need complete translation Template:Main Page/Sisterprojects/hu (text after "!!FUZZY!!" comments) --Kaganer (talk) 13:25, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Yes, I know but I don't know how to translate it. Some other parts of the new main page also not yet been translated. --Tacsipacsi (talk) 13:28, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
What's the problem? --Kaganer (talk) 13:49, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Nothing much, simply I don't know some of these words. I hope somebody else will translate them. --Tacsipacsi (talk) 13:54, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi again! If you have some time, please update your translation in Template:Main Page/Sisterprojects/hu and Template:Main Page/Core issues and collaboration/hu (marked as "FUZZY"). Very thanks before. --Kaganer (talk) 17:36, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Cross-wiki watchlist[edit]

Hi! You voted for the cross-wiki watchlist as an important suggestions in the community wishlist survey last year. I'm pinging editors who showed interest in that task to tell them we have some suggestions for how things could look, if you'd like to glance at them and give us some feedback. You can find them on the project page on Meta. If you'd like to share any comments, you're very welcome to do so on the talk page. /Johan (WMF) (talk) 00:57, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

2016 Community Wishlist Survey[edit]

You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.

The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

SVG Translate Community wishlist survey project[edit]

Hello! Thank you for voting for the SVG Translate project that was proposed in the 2017 Wishlist survey. The Community Tech team in the Wikimedia Foundation is beginning to start their work on the project. We're currently looking for feedback on some open questions which will allow us to come up with preliminary designs for the tool. If you are interested in being involved, you can watch the project page and join in the discussions on the talk page. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and learning from your experiences. Thank you. -- NKohli (WMF), Product Manager, Community Tech (talk) 21:53, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

The Community Wishlist Survey[edit]

You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:24, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

"Who Wrote That" project update[edit]

Hello. I'm reaching out to you as you participated in the 2017 Community Wishlist proposal for "Who Wrote That" project (previously known as "Blame Tool"). The Community Tech team is kicking things off on the project and we have an early-stage mockup available for you to look at. I invite you to follow that project page, where I will be posting periodic status updates for the project. You are also welcome to provide your thoughts on the talk page. Thank you. -- NKohli (WMF) (talk) 22:57, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

The Affiliate-selected Board seats process welcomes your support[edit]

Globe of letters.png

Hello. You are receiving this message because you are active in the field of translations <3 The movement needs you! The Nominations phase has started for the ongoing selection process of two Board members, and the timeline is quite tight.

A Translation Central is available to help translators figure out what's been covered and what's left to do. Over the course of the next few weeks, your attention on candidates' profiles is particularly welcome.

While there are four languages that are especially relevant for multiple affiliates (namely Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish), we are asking your help for Chinese, Ukrainian, Bengali, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Polish, Farsi, German, Cantonese, Finnish, Hindi, Thai, Dutch, and Greek, as these also matter to affiliates! If you can't help: please see if you know anyone in your circle who could, and spread the word :) Thank you! Elitre (WMF) and Facilitators of ASBS 2019, 21:35, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Community Wishlist Survey 2020 needs translations[edit]

I'm contacting you because you've already translated some messages for the Community Wishlist Survey. We need more translations for the 2020 edition, to create a survey that would serve as many users as we know.

The list below shows our needs by order of importance (most important first):

  1. The invitation sent to communities. It summarizes the process. We plan to distribute it soon on this year target wikis. The more translations we have, the better!
  2. The form for non-English speakers. Anyone should be able to add their wish, no matter which language they speak. Translating this short form is very important to encourage diversity and equity.
  3. The survey itself, where the entire process is described.
  4. The preload form, that provides more context on existing wishes.

Some languages are already covered (maybe by you), but some messages have been updated, and there is always some room for reviewing and polishing messages.

Thank you in advance for your help! This survey can't be successful without your assistance. :)

sn:Category:Candidates for speedy deletion[edit]

Hi Tacsipacsi, thanks for letting me know about my mistake. Yesterday I was eliminating pages in several projects. I must have mixed a previous request with Shona language. I recreated the page that I deleted yesterday. Best regards. DARIO SEVERI (talk) 15:21, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

Is this useful?[edit]

Hi, since you seem to be the i18n template guru these days, could you take a look at Meta_talk:Babylon/Archives/2018#Automatically_localized_Wikipedia_links and tell me what you think? It never got any feedback when I asked, but I still think it might be useful in certain cases. Regards, PiRSquared17 (talk) 19:44, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi PiRSquared17, I personally don’t like it—as a translator, I want to see as many details and raw wikitext instead of cryptic template calls as possible—, but you’re not the only one to propose using Wikidata for multilingual interwiki links: c:Category:Wikipedia link templates using page language is full of similar templates, one per Wikidata item. (Probably that approach is better than yours: the translator sees at least a human-readable template name, not a Qid.) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 20:18, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

I don't understand how I deleted that comment or didn't notice that I had done so in the page history. Sorry about that, I'm glad you saw it. SashiRolls (talk) 22:29, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

Tech News/Community Wishlist[edit]

Regarding where the Community Wishlist items belong in Tech News (I moved it to #47, by the way, that way people get it the same day as it opens: plenty of time to write the proposals, but they don't need to wait a week to act and risk forgetting it), lately, I've been putting all items like that in future news. My reasoning is that the actual technical changes are in the future – this is a way to affect them. Sort of like I'd put anything about a specific feature that's coming a few months later in future news, even if there was a call for feedback now. Hope that makes sense. /Johan (WMF) (talk) 08:47, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Language help[edit]

Hi. Your user page says you are hu-N. Would you be willing to translate my question at q:hu:User talk:DannyS712 into Hungarian? I was indef blocked and I'm not sure why. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 21:01, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Feel free to add a comment on my contribution to the blocking admins talk page here as well. -- Tegel (Talk) 21:26, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
@DannyS712 and Tegel: Sorry, I’ve been busy IRL in the past few days. I think grin did everything we can do on OsvátA’s talk page. (By the way, you’re not the first global sysop to be blocked OsvátA for unclear reasons.) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 21:29, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Merchandise Giveaway Nomination – Successful[edit]

A Wikimeida t-shirt!

Hey Tacsipacsi,

You have been successfully nominated to receive a free t-shirt from the Wikimedia Foundation through our Merchandise Giveaway program. Congratulations and thank you for your hard work! Please email us at merchandise(_AT_) and we will send you full details on how to accept your free shirt. Thanks!

On behalf of the Merchandise Giveaway program,

-- Vermont (talk) 00:37, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi Vermont! Thank for the nomination to whoever nominated me (although I have no idea why I got nominated), but I don’t want to accept the T-shirt. It’s no offense; simply I don’t like merch, probably I would hardly if ever wear it anyways, and I don’t like to have a package sent me from the other end of the world. Please hire staff or buy servers from the money you would spend on the T-shirt, I’d appreciate that much more. However, I do appreciate the knowledge that I could have got a T-shirt, so thanks anyways! Cheers, Tacsipacsi (talk) 01:16, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
Respecting your decision, here is your nomination. :) Üdv, Bencemac (talk) 11:45, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Translation for spam blacklist header not displaying[edit]

Hi, thank you for fixing {{Spam blacklist header}}. However, the translations are not shown on Talk:Spam blacklist (eg. {{Spam blacklist header/ar}} is fully translated but Talk:Spam blacklist with uselang=ar still shows English). I feel like on Talk:Spam blacklist {{TNT}} should used instead of {{Autotranslate}}, but TNT is also used in spam blacklist header itself so there will be a template loop error. Do you know how to handle this? Thanks again! --WhitePhosphorus (talk) 04:21, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Just figured out {{Dynamite}} can be used. Sorry to bother you. --WhitePhosphorus (talk) 04:25, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
@WhitePhosphorus: Actually {{autotranslate}} also works (I have no idea why its documentation states the contrary), but it expects the template name without namespace, i.e. {{autotranslate|base=Spam blacklist header}}. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 22:32, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Template:Gender gap portal navigation/tt[edit]

Please help with reverting back to my last edit. I would like to see links always showing to pages in Tatar, not English by default. And old background was better. Thank you.--Frhdkazan (talk) 13:29, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
