How we review proposals? [edit]

We work together as strategic thought partners with applicants. This includes our staff (Regional Program Officer and Grant Administrators) and Regional Funds Committee. We make the funding decision based on eligibility and committee discussions.

  1. After you submit the proposal, the Program Officer and Grant Administrator organise proposals and documents for review. You need to share the proposal with your community for feedback.
  2. Wikimedia community, Program Officer, and Regional Fund Committee members review proposals.
  3. They may then ask questions, comments or feedback on Meta so you are able to respond directly.
  4. You will then receive feedback from the Committee. This will also include staff feedback.
  5. The Committee may request a live session with you to discuss the feedback. Your Program Officer is available to support you with the review process.
  6. You then have a set time to make necessary changes, directly on Grantee Portal (Fluxx).
  7. Committee has a second round of decision-making, considering your changes and overall budget.
  8. A final decision is made. If approved, we will begin the grant administration process. We will prepare a grant agreement and send the funding.
