About nynorsk

[edit]

Dear Alvaro, thank you for your enquiry! Our Foreign Affairs Ministry has a page in French (as well as German and English), explaining the language situation in Norway here.

The Norwegian language council (http://www.sprakrad.no/) also has several other essays and articles on the language in Norway in several languages here. The English and German links have the most content.

I also wrote a short introduction to the Norwegian dual wikipedia situation at Skanwiki/Skanbot. Skanwiki is the Scandinavian meta pages.

Enjoy! Please ask (also here on meta) if you have any other questions. Bjarte 21:46, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi Alvaro, I'm terribly behind schedule for adding unicode support to EasyTimeline, but is definitely moving to the top of my todo list. Erik Zachte

Tant pis. Amicalement. Petite fourmi.
Oh, my cher petite fourmi, sorry for raté la discussion. I hope you can forgive me one day ;-) Fantasy 08:54, 19 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Votes de Besednjak

[edit]

Error, error, fatal error!

Blue screen :D
Oui, Gatto Nero. ça veut dire chat mit schwarz haare. Ok, my trying writing in French ends here: i've no vocabulaire and I should guess all the words (foolish :p)

I repeat: thanks for correcting my user-page. Sometimes my brain goes time out, and it's unable to understand - even to see too - its errors. :D --Gatto Nero 17:56, 19 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

User page

[edit]

Hi, Alvaro. I put a stroke on User:Lucas Thierry's vote again, because it is currently doubtful if this account really belongs to him.

I found by chance you created (not he) this user page.

Generally we think editing user page of the other user is rude;

  • yes, it's generally rude. Alvaro

I think you did it for kindness,

  • oui, you think right / well (strike the bad one) Alvaro

but did you think there is a possiblity this vote would be thought as sockpupetting?

  • yes, it is possible :-( Alvaro

I were happy if you could have wait for Lucas until he would create his own page by his hand. --Aphaia | Translate Election | ++ 02:11, 26 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

De rien...

[edit]

fr sysop

[edit]

Yikes! I did not know about that. As a matter of fact, I really don't need one sysop account on fr. I'll take care of that. --Daniel Mayer 00:06, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

List of Wikipedias/Table

[edit]

Just to inform you - I cannot add the headings myself because the table is updated by script, whose output I cannot modify.. -- Prince Kassad 14:09, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Make a new unupdated table witht hose headings.
You know how much work that is? There are 200 Wikipedias with 5/6 numbers for each, that means 1200 numbers to update! No human could do that manually. -- Prince Kassad 14:25, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
If each wiki has an ambassador who updates his wiki. I do it always for li.wikt
Not all the wikipedias have enough cotributors to do that, I think. Alvaro 13:34, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, technical reasons... no problemo. Alvaro 13:34, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cordialement, Yann 17:14, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Updates from Capacity Exchange (CapX)!

[edit]

Hello Alvaro,

My name is Joris Darlington Quarshie, and I am an Outreach Facilitator for the Capacity Exchange (CapX) — a platform for finding and connecting with peers to exchange knowledge and skills on a global level.

CapX is a community-built tool, designed by and for the Wikimedia Movement, to make it easier for Wikimedians across the world to find and connect, collaborate, and exchange skills and knowledge with peers.

If you don't know it yet, I invite you to access capx.toolforge.org and create your user profile with your Wikimedia account. But, if you already have a profile, I invite you to check out the new features and possibilities we just launched. I am sure you will be delighted.

CapX's new version incorporates valuable community feedback gathered over the past months, including the Organization Profile - a feature for Wikimedia affiliates, initiatives, or community groups to create their own CapX presence (see here how to create yours).
