Pitanje
Hvala! Miranche (talk) 04:18, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Re: Tportal
[edit]Yeah, I saw it was your input... This of course makes a drastic difference - to a journalist without insider knowledge, this is an extremely complex issue.
The "ruling faction" are not far right wingers - I'm not sure if this is your assessment or not, but I happen to agree with it. Right wingers and/or conservatives - that much is obviously true, but "fascists" is not only pushing it too far, but is oversimplifying the issue. (That the actual fascists are tolerated is another matter.) The problem is partially systemic - it runs much deeper, and is exacerbated by defensiveness and groupthink.
Anyway, the evidence gathering story is over as far as we're concerned. My approach now is to try to introduce some procedural changes to hr wiki. (You've already seen some of the attempts.) Many things are simply not right at best, or are downright perverse at worst. For example, just recently I've been trying to wrap my head around the fact that hr:Dalmacija is a featured article, despite offering a grand total of two (!) sources, and having some blatant errors and omissions. There is simply no FA review, so once an FA, always an FA. I believe it is obvious that this is detrimental not only to the quality of FAs, but also to the quality of hr wiki in general.
Anyway, I've had it with finger-pointing, I'd like to see some changes taking place, but right now I feel proposals in this vein are going to be met with hostility, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on this issue. This is a hr wiki issue really, so my talk page there? GregorB (talk) 15:55, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- I see what you mean - in fact, this possibility occurred to me too. I don't do emails, though. Never mind, nothing of real importance, just sharing what are my thoughts at this moment. I'll be maintaining some kind of hr wiki presence in the near future, so I suppose we'll see what happens. GregorB (talk) 08:55, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks! My en wiki "semi-retirement" (I'll have to use the quotation marks) is more about doing things in a different way (or elsewhere, as may be the case here) than about "giving up". Right now I feel that my understanding of how things work is best bang for the buck precisely in hr wiki - not en wiki, which will do just fine with or without me. Thoughts and actions can be influenced, even if people stay the same. We'll see how it goes... GregorB (talk) 16:09, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
