OTRS call for help
[edit]Dear Bddpaux. The volunteer response team (aka OTRS) is currently lacking colleagues to take care of questions regarding the sister projects wikibooks, wikinews, wikiquote and wiktionary. As you appear to be active on at least one of them, I'd like to invite you to volunteer at OTRS/Volunteering. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you in advance for considering. --Krd 08:06, 9 May 2016 (UTC)
- Let me look at a few things (including my work schedule), and we'll see what I can do.--Bddpaux (talk) 15:08, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Bddpaux, you were one of the initiators of getting me out of the English news. And now you're writing on the discussion page: "We just need more reporters..." But I write original reports from around the world: https://w.wiki/EErq Виктор Пинчук (talk) 16:22, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
*Indeed you do -- and (as I've said to no end) -- there are conflicts with some of your work: Self-involved puffery. Poor sourcing. "Look at my stuff" reporting etc. etc. You do (and have done) some good work, but some of it does not fit within the scope of what English WN is devoted to -- and (seemingly) you are very skilled at ignoring the admonishments. I love your photos -- always have. But (and for the 17th time) Writing an article YOURSELF about a talk you gave YOURSELF at an event focused on YOURSELF about a trip YOU YOURSELF took is fertile ground for Conflicts of interest. We are glad to have you at English WN -- but we need reporters who follow the rules.--Bddpaux (talk) 15:14, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
Wikinews Pulse proposal
[edit]I tried to clarify, the proposal is not to close down English Wikinews (or any other language necessarily), but to add additional multilingual features. Pharos (talk) 07:15, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
