Mining Institute Editathon 6th November 2013[edit]

Heads up, a chance to meet some Wikimedians in a great setting

It is the next installment Clem. Can you draw to the attention of other folk you might know. Robert F

Editing at the German Wikipedia[edit]

In re these comments: Try opening w:de:Special:Random in a private/incognito window (or after logging out). At that community's request, what "old hands" like you and I see is different from what new editors see. This search of RecentChanges suggests that about 30% of edits made by logged-out and less experienced editors at the German Wikipedia today were made in the visual editor. The same search at the English Wikipedia shows about 10%. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 19:49, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

JSTOR account redistribution (The Wikipedia Library)[edit]

Hi - according to our records you received a free account for JSTOR through The Wikipedia Library. Because we’ve used up all of our allocated accounts, and it’s been some time since they were distributed, we want to redistribute any accounts that aren’t being used to users on our waitlist.

If you’re still using, or plan to use, your JSTOR access, no problem! Simply head over to the Library Card platform, log in, and request a renewal of your account. You should be able to do this from your user page, or the JSTOR signup page. If you can’t find the renewal button, or have any other issues or questions about this, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. We’ll begin redistributing inactive accounts in September; if you request renewal after then we will only be able to reactivate your account if we have spots remaining. Thanks, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:32, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

Request for advice[edit]

Hi Clem, Can you recommend the name of an Admin on Wikimedia Commons that can act as a moderator in a dispute, I and others have with an Admin over a ships category title? Best regards - Broichmore (talk) 01:54, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

I have never had any dealings with Commons Admins- I am not much help. Sorry. ClemRutter (talk) 17:31, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
