Mark a discussion as resolved[edit]

Can the respective /* โ‹ฏ */ anchor be prepended to the edit summary? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 13:23, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to figure out how to do that, but no promises --DannyS712 (talk) 09:59, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Find the heading in edit form and then do EasyResolve.summary = '/* ' + heading + ' */' + blah-blah-blah. It is not guaranteed against minor bugs like phab:T229270, but will work in 98% cases. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 14:40, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong usage[edit]

How does this work? It seems to me it marks discussions resolved even they are not resolved. Juandev (talk) 09:58, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Its just for adding the resolved template --DannyS712 (talk) 09:59, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So somebody adds the template, or who? Juandev (talk) 19:42, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that is what the script does --DannyS712 (talk) 19:45, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Xtools autoedits[edit]

@DannyS712: Hello again!

Can you add this tool to the Xtools autoedit? This time hopefully there should be no confusion since you yourself created the toolย :).Jonteemil (talk) 19:02, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently someone else already asked for this - phab:T243630 DannyS712 (talk) 19:28, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, it was only implemented locally on meta though. I've requested it be global now.Jonteemil (talk) 20:01, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it should be global (and would have objected to it on meta) since its so niche --DannyS712 (talk) 20:14, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Well, it is an automatic tool that can be used globally. I don't see how its nicheness would make you don't want it to be listed as an automatic tool.Jonteemil (talk) 20:11, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it needs to be listed in autoedits at all, but if you want to file a phab task go ahead --DannyS712 (talk) 20:15, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Jonteemil: The global usage is marginal. Adding it to AutoEdits will only unnecessarily slow down the tool.

@DannyS712: Any way to make the tool work for RfD too? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿบ๐ช๐‘ค๐’†๐“‡๐Ÿท๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿœ๐“บ๐”ด๐•–๐–—๐Ÿฐ (๐—๐—ฎ๐˜ญ๐™ ) 13:45, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, will do DannyS712 (talk) 17:52, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Any updates? I don't participate in RfDs at the moment, but this would certainly be a useful feature. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿบ๐ช๐‘ค๐’†๐“‡๐Ÿท๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿœ๐“บ๐”ด๐•–๐–—๐Ÿฐ (๐—๐—ฎ๐˜ญ๐™ ) 14:35, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, not working on this at the moment, but there aren't many discussions at RfD so its not a big priority DannyS712 (talk) 15:11, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
